A requirement for her to stay in the school is to be at the top of her class which she manages to do while dealing with Host Club shenanigans so Haruhi is quite good at multitasking as well and keeping a level head. Her catchphrase seems to relate to "damn rich people" but, despite that, she does consider them her friends. Haruhi is also hard working and is usually making sure to hold down the fort at her home. She herself isn't materialistic as shown by her outfit choices and even her choice in coffee. She chooses instant coffee while everyone in the Host Club hadn't even heard of it before. Haruhi is known to be straightforward and blunt in her opinions, not minding what most other people think of it. She appears almost apathetic in a way when it comes to Host Club related decisions. Though, she is also oblivious to things relating to romance such as when Ritsu confesses his feelings to her and she unknowingly friend zones him due to her own obliviousness which is mostly due to her inexperience to it. She is also oblivious to even small hints that people may like her as multiple people are able like her but she is unable to tell. Haruhi is just a total zero in the romance department as she is noted as the natural type due to how she is just able to hold up normal conversation without trying to flirt. Haruhi also looks up to her deceased mother, whom she often talks to when she is alone and feeling a certain emotion. This was apparent in the first episode when she arrived at Ouran in the first episode. She even wishes to follow in her footsteps and become an attorney. Haruhi is actually very accepting and open minded of things, believing that gender doesn't define someone's choices as seen with with her father who cross dresses. Haruhi herself doesn't let her gender define who she is. She is always ready to get her hands dirty such as when she was younger and had to cut her hair when gum got stuck in it. She didn't mind that it was short and that she looked like a boy because of it. She doesn't mind her looks in general, really, as being recognized as a boy or a girl didn't bother her when the Host Club found out her secret. Despite all this, Haruhi isn't as cool as some think she is. She actually has a huge fear of thunder to the point of paralysis. She can also sometimes be persuaded into some silly antics as long as there is fancy tuna involved. Haruhi is very forgiving and doesn't often hold grudges. She is prone to sarcastic quips from time to time, though. She also has a voice a bit deeper than most females which helps people think she is actually a dude as well. Abilities: INTELLIGENCE: To make up for her lack of magical powers, Haruhi is very intelligent and is able to keep a level head in a variety of situations.
